OCCUPATION: Store owner, lumberman, Cherry farmer

Rumor: Died c. 1900 while visiting old home in MO. Came across plains
w/family in wagon train c. 1849. Father died on way. Stopped in Clear
Lake. Married Lucinda in Mo. Had trade and barter store at Clay and
Dupont (1st son born). It burned in fire of 1859. Moved to Woodside near
the Pioneer Inn. He hauled redwoods to S.F. r\for rebuilding (daughter).
Moved to Vacaville, still there in 1880. Farmed cherries near The Nut
Tree (5 sons, 1 daughter). Lucinda tells story of him scattering money
on the road on the way back from selling crop.

Had 640 acres in Lagoon Valley, Vacaville township.
