!BIOGRAPHY: Family legend is that the son of Albert Du Ree killed his
father and Ammon took the blame and served time in prison for the
killing. Since the children were quite young when their father was
killed, it is unlikely any of them could have committed the murder. It
is likely that Ammon did commit the murder of his brother-in-law, Albert
Du Ree.
